This page lists everything KamerLink stores on your device through your browser, why, and how long it lasts. We keep this list deliberately short and itemised rather than a generic boilerplate list, because it's exactly what our code actually does.
1. Strictly necessary — no consent required
These are required for the site to function (staying signed in) and can't be switched off. Under most cookie-law frameworks (including the EU's ePrivacy rules, which many sites use as a baseline even outside the EU), strictly-necessary storage like this doesn't require consent.
- auth_token (cookie) — your session token, so you stay signed in. Expires after 7 days.
- user_role (cookie) — your account role (job seeker / recruiter / admin), used to show you the right part of the site. Expires after 7 days.
- access_token, user, user_data (browser local storage) — the same session information, kept locally so the app doesn't need to re-fetch it on every page. Cleared when you log out or clear your browser's site data.
2. Analytics — cookie-free by design
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see aggregate traffic (which pages are visited, how many people visit, roughly where from) so we can improve the site. It is built to work without setting any cookie and without a persistent device identifier — it doesn't track you individually or follow you across other websites. Because it doesn't use cookies or similar persistent identifiers, it falls outside what cookie-consent rules are designed to gate. We're telling you about it here anyway, in the interest of being fully transparent about every request your browser makes when you visit KamerLink.
3. What we don't use
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or any third-party marketing/analytics service beyond what's listed above. If that ever changes, we will update this page and add a cookie-consent option for anything that isn't strictly necessary.
4. Managing storage yourself
You can clear cookies and local storage for KamerLink at any time through your browser's settings. Doing so will sign you out. Since nothing on this list is used for advertising, blocking it won't change what ads you see anywhere else — it will just sign you out of KamerLink.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add anything to this list — especially anything that isn't strictly necessary — we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first via an in-app banner.
